The Redmi Note 13 Pro is on the horizon, with Xiaomi certifying the handset with another Chinese regulatory body. Certified as 2312DRA50C, the Redmi Note 13 Pro will support 67 W wired charging and will serve as a cheaper alternative to 23090RA98C, the presumed Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.

More signs of the Redmi Note 13 series have emerged online. To recap, the MIIT in China published certifications for 2312DRA50C and 23090RA98C at the end of August. As we discussed at the time, the 2312DRA50C appeared to be a cheaper version of the 23090RA98C on account of its lighter housing, less memory and slightly larger battery capacity.

Typically, a larger battery capacity has meant lower wattage charging, as was the case with the Chinese versions of the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. Now, the 2312DRA50C has passed through the 3C, also in China. As always, the 3C has confirmed a few more details about the upcoming device, albeit without providing a retail name.

Specifically, the 3C reveals that the 2312DRA50C supports 67 W fast charging from its MDY-12-EF power supply. For reference, Xiaomi bundles this power supply with various recent devices, including the Xiaomi 12S, MIX Fold 2 and the Xiaomi Pad 6. Thus, it seems the 2312DRA50C is the Redmi Note 13 Pro and not the presumed Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.

Still, the MIIT outlined that the former will contain high-end hardware, such as a 1220p OLED display, up to 16 GB of RAM and a 5,020 mAh battery. Currently, Xiaomi is expected to showcase the Redmi Note 13 series in China during Q4 2023. By contrast, a global release is unlikely to occur until early 2024.
